Valleywood Neighborhood Park

Tucked in a neighborhood off Georgia Avenue near Aspen Hill is a colorful new playground we recently got the chance to visit. Park on the street below the park and go up the vibrantly painted walkway to the shiny new equipment.

The playground has two main structures, one for ages 5-12 and one for the younger set. Both have slides and plenty of opportunities to climb. There are swings and a teeter-totter, too.

The playground’s bonus features are for sure the big covered pavilion and hand painted games like hopscotch and four square on the sidewalk. Plus, there was a good amount of shade when we came mid-morning! We didn’t see any trash cans, so remove your own refuse. And there are no bathrooms onsite.
